Winter has arrived, and travellers can expect snowy mountain roads so please monitor the weather forecast closely as conditions can change rapidly. In November, warm and waterproof winter clothing is necessary. Daylight is sparse and travellers should consider that when planning their days. Chances of catching a glimpse of the Northern lights are good.

The weather in Iceland is unpredictable all year around so you must always be prepared for swift changes (sometimes often within a day). Remember to monitor the weather forecast and road conditions closely. Do you need ideas for packing? The trick is layering! Here’s a list of items you should bring regardless of the time of year you’re travelling.
