At Grund there is a small guesthouse, a short distance from Grundarfjörður where all services are available. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area, both in the mountains and along the beaches. Grund is a good base to discover Snæfellsnes where the nature is magnificent and there is a lot to do.

Bjarg Borgarnes is small and cosy family-run guesthouse in old farmhouse on the outskirts of Borgarnes town. The old farmhouse which formerly housed sheep, horses, and chicken has been renovated as a guesthouse. Accommodation is in a 4 pers. studio apartment with private kitchen and bathroom facilities, in another separate space with two double rooms and one 4 pers. room, with shared cooking and WC/shower facilities. The third option is a cottage (81m2) with two double/twin rooms, a sofa bed in the living room, a bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, dining room, and with a wonderful view over the Borgarfjörður fjord. The surroundings are peaceful, but all services are very close by. Conveniently located for those traveling in West Iceland.

Miðhraun - Lava resort is a family-run company owned by the Miðhraun family, established in 1988.  Accommodation for up to 110 persons, cottages, apartments and houses. Suitable for both individuals and groups.  Breakfast buffet and dinner menu served at our restaurant Hlaðan.  The location is quiet, family-friendly, and only a 1,5h drive from Reykjavík.  Farm animals, lava fields, mountains, geothermal baths and sauna make the atmosphere adventurous.  When staying at Miðhraun you can hike on the mountain Ljósufjöll or Rauðakúla or take a shorter hike in the area. In Þurranes we offer accommodation in four houses, 3 cozy cottages and the old Farm house.  The Cottages - we have three cozy 43 square meter cottages. Each has two double bedrooms and a small loft with two extra matresses, a bathroom with shower, small kitchen with all necessary equipment, a small living room with a sofa and a delux hot tup on the patio. Each cottage can accommodate 6 people. This is a self catering option and linen is not included, but can be provided on request.  The Old Farm house is perfect for groups of 10-20 people. It has five bedrooms each with two single beds and an open loft area with ten single beds. The house has a big patio and a hot tub connected to the house with an overview of the farm and the surrounding mountains. The Old Farm house is a self-catering accommodation. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and a big dinging room with tables, chairs and sofas. The house has two bathrooms with one shower each. Linen and towels are not included, but can be provided, please contact owner for further details.  The houses can be rented for a single night or a whole week. They are very conveniently situated for trip around the West and the Westfjords. Beautiful views in a quiet farm area. 

Háafell Lodge is a beautiful country lodge located in Dalir, West Iceland. It can accommodate a total of six persons and features two double bedrooms with private bathrooms and a sleeping sofa in the living area.  The lodge is located on farmland were you can experience the authentic Icelandic countryside with stunning views of surrounding landscapes.  You can experience beautiful sunsets and bright nights in the summer and the Northern Lights can be seen well in the winter if people are lucky.

Dalahyttur is a family run company and offers 9 double rooms.  There are three 15m2 tiny houses. Each house consists of sleeping area with double bed 160 cm, a kitchenette, dining area, a bathroom with a shower, WiFi and car parking for each house.  We also have six 20m2 double rooms in three houses. Every room has a separate entrance, 160 cm bed, sofa, bathroom with shower, armchair, kettle, coffee and tea, WiFi and free parking for each room.  Reception and a restaurant are located in a renovated Quonset house at our premises. From the hut you can enjoy beautiful mountain view over three valleys. We offer accommodation in 5 cabins and sleeping bag accommodation. Close by is the sea in walking distance and a path to an old volcanic crater (Eldborg). We are 25 minutes drive from Borgarnes and 45 minutes drive from Stykkishólmur. 

Söðulsholt travel service offers accommodation and horse rental activity. Our accommodation include 4 premium cottages, each sleeping 4 people comfortably. Each cottage include one double bedroom, two twin beds in the upper loft, fully-equipped kitchen, sitting area, bathroom w/shower and outside seating area. A "Weber" grill is available for your use. A minimum stay of two-three nights is required. We offer our guests short riding tours and access to a private river where guests may fish for salmon/trout (extra fee). In Seljaland we offer accommodation for groups of 20-25. The old house takes up to 8 people and the three little cottages can fit 2-4 people per cottage. A little restaurant that seats 25 people is located on these premises. Reservations must be made in advance. The Castle offers accommodation in Búdardalur town. The property is facing the black beaches of Hvammsfjordur fjord and is within walking distance (500m) from grocery store, coffee and flower shop, Leif Eiriksson Center and coffee shop, Dalakot restaurant, Dalahestar horse rental and many more.  Each room features a fridge, coffee machine, kettle and toaster as well as free Wi-Fi and parking. In the main house are shared bathroom facilities equipped with a shower. Outside the main house is a common room with shared cooking facilities, washing machine and dryer.  There are also three small cottages on the property (15m2) with private bathroom, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave.  A barbeque is available for our guests.  Please contact us for prices and availability.

Lækjarkot Rooms and Cottages with Kitchen is 6 km north of Borgarnes. We offer farm accommodation. Everyone should be able to find something suitable to them in the vicinity of Lækjarkot. Lýsuhóll is a small family business. Accommodation offered in cosy little cottages and a guesthouse with double and single rooms. There is a restaurant and horse back riding tours are offered.  During summer you can rent six cosy little summer cottages which consist of a bedroom, a living-room, a small kitchen, shower and toilet and are ideal for two or four people, especially families. From all the cottages you have a fantastic view of the glacier Snæfellsjökull, the mountains and the sea. Accommodation is also available in two bigger houses with 4 rooms each which can be used all year round. There are two twin/double rooms, one single and a big family room. They all have a washing basis in the room and share two bathrooms with showers. There is a kitchen with all the basic equipment and a cosy sitting and dining room. There is a hot tub on the veranda. Horse riding tours offered on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, mostly along the wide beaches of Iceland's most beautiful horse riding area "Löngufjörur". Kópareykir is a small sheep and horse farm near Reykholt. Our wooden cottage (suitable for 1-5 persons) has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom (shower/WC/washing machine), an open living room with a kitchen and a terrace. From the cottage you have a beautiful view over the Reykholtsdalur valley with the river and Eiríksjökull glacier. Homluholt Cottages and Horsebreeding Farm Hömluholt Cottages are located on the southern part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula by the Hafursfell mountain. A distance of 54 km from Borgarnes, 75 km from Reykjavík and 600 meters from the main road Snæfellsnesvegur.  *1. Cottage*  Accommodation for upp to 8 persons. Cottage*  Acocommations for upp to 10 persons. This cottage has a well-equiped kitchen, living room and bathroom with shower.
