The Visit West Iceland Smart Interactive Sales and Marketing System, launched on October 17, 2024, offers an innovative way to explore and promote the West of Iceland. With local hosts guiding users through top attractions, accommodations, and experiences, this interactive tool provides an engaging, easy-to-navigate resource for B2B sales and tourism promotion. Featuring contributions from 23 companies, the DMO, and a regional municipality, the platform continuously updates with the latest content, allowing tourism partners to effortlessly share up-to-date information. This system not only highlights individual services but also showcases the West’s diverse nature and activities, making it ideal for a 3-4 night stay with unique day trips across the region.

The Launch of Visit West Iceland smart interactive sales and marketing system was launched last Thursday on the 17th of October 2024.
The smart content introduces thoroughly the destination with hosts from each area guiding you through the main attractions, accommodations and experiences that each area has to offer within the West of Iceland. This content is easy to navigate and fun to use and is designed to increase B2B sales, creating a tool that makes it more efficient and easy for sectors of the tourism industry to promote the West of Iceland. So far 23 companies have joined the project along with the DMO and one Municipality within the West. The project then keeps on growing and the link updates regularly with newest information each time making it unnecessary to resend new material as the link offers the most recent information.

In addition to the Smart Interactive the companies that participated also have increased their own marketing and sales material and send that out in addition to the interactive introducing the area and can not only market their own services but at the same time what the area has to offer as a whole.
The diversity in nature and experiences that the West has to offer is such that it makes tourist able to stay in one area and take day trips to the other areas of the West with different experiences each day making a 3-4 night stay in the West an unforgettable vacation that is hassle free without the need to change hotels each night.
