A concert with Icelandic songs related to the Western Region of Iceland. The concert includes a wide variety of songs and poetry, including one of Icelands first cettlers Egill Skallagrímsson (910-990) to the highly renowned Icelandic Composter Anna Thorvaldsdóttir (1977).
The songs will be performed by Kristín Einarsdóttir Mäntylä mezzosoprano, Sigrún Björk Sævarsdóttir soprano and Anna Þórhildur Gunnarsdóttir pianist. They are all from the western region and want to invite the audience to get a deeper understanding of the musical heritage of the area.
The concert is sponsored by Uppbygginasjóður Vesturlands and Listvinafélag Grundafjarðar and is approximately 50 minutes long.
